Getting  use to  the  new me    and   other  things Part 1

hi   hope   you’er  all  ok ,  and   keeping   safe   as  you  .  The  last   few   years  have    been filled with  personal and  family health  problems.  we moved   to  be  closer   live  closer  to  my  parents  and   we  need  somewhere  quieter.

we  did  live  in  a flat  which   had  a  sort  of  nurse  care    alarm   unlike   the   life line  nurse   pendent    i have  now   which goes    stight  to    and  office    who then   ring   for  help  for  u   , the   one  in our   flat   ment   a  care   coming  to  see  what  wrong  and  then   ringing  the   ambulance  but   that  wasnt  my   problem  .

I’m just  under 50  and  there  wasnt  much  avalible   that   i could  do, was interested in  etc  ,  my   biggest  problem  was  getting around   i   have  no  way   of  opening   doors  by  my  self.   we  tried    my  friend  made   a long  stick   to  try  hit   the  door  button  with.

but  it   didnt   work   to well   as  by time  i   had  put  the    stick   down   , switch   the  stick  to  my  right hand, and   then hung the  stick  on my power  chair  controller      then  turn my  chair  back  on    ,  the  door  was  closed.

so   asked  the   staff  to  help    they    just   let  me through  as   long as  i   didnt   do  it  to offen    some   not  all the  staff  would  help

or  if  i  could  id  txt  my partner   and  he   come  to  my rescue.

then   complex decided because        the  public  was  using   the   doors  as  a short  cut   all doors were  locked  and  you   had  to  unlock   each  door   by  using    a  phob   a phob  i  couldnt   use.    luckly   we  moved  out    the  week before   this   happened     but   on  the  day   we moved  for  some reason  everywhere  was  locked     ,  it  was  a good  job  i had my phob with me   and  my  friend   had  to  phob  each  door   .

i’m  so  glad  we  move        as  this  place  didnt  suit  my   needs  .  i felt  traped all  because  i couldnt  open  a door.
so   we  move   best  thing we  ever did!

so   bed  and  a manual hoist   were  move  to our new  home ,   then  we  got  a tracking  hoist   ,  i prefer  the  tracking hoist     its  less  jerky.   but  we  need a  ramp  the   one we  had  wasnt  suitable  and  i  wasnt  aloud  use it.

and   the  lockdown  happend

the    ramp  was  orderd    speach and  language  were  not    aloud  to  come in person  then  i   have  to  go  for  a scan

panic

first  time  we  put   the appointment  off  becuase  of  the  lock down

second  time   we  had  to  go    so  becuse  the   traking  hoist is  in   the  bedroom  but  the  stretcher  cant  go in that  room

funny    angles     to   get  it  through.  we   asked  for  a manual  powerd  hoist      so  i  can transfer    where  thestretcher     can  get.    we    go down  the   portable  ramp   and  i  go  for  the appointment
now  the  portable  ramps  are  too  long  and  the drive  is    too  short  . so  it  was  fun  because   even  the  crew   manuvering  me  on the  stretcher    banged  there arms  on the  door frame  so   they  said  watch   your arm  on the door frame.   and  yes  i  banged  it    too.

got  to  the  hospital

scan   was  done   went  home   got  lost on way back

so  its  a year  and  bit  later  and  we get  the ramp  put  in
